SS Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Line vessel, ferried first and second class passengers to RMS Titanic from Cherbourg in France. Crumlin Road Gaol
Crumlin Road Gaol first opened its gates to prisoners in 1846 and for 150 years was a fully operational prison. Belfast Cathedral is the church of St Anne. The building is Romanesque, giving it a lofty grandeur associated with that style: semi-circular arches and massive pillars, vast and high single windows, and the whole possessing an uncluttered spaciousness. Clifton House is a charming, atmospheric and one of the last Georgian buildings in Belfast. Built in 1774 by the Belfast Charitable Society, it served as the Poor House for Belfast until the late 1880s. Now fully restored to its original Georgian elegance and with the history lovingly preserved, Clifton House combines a fascinating interpretative centre with a large collection of antiques and artefacts. The Empire Laughs Back Comedy Club has been providing Northern Ireland with laughter for over 20 years.
